Welcome to my homepage. I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. I am a member of the AidData Research Consortium and the Centre on the Politics of Representation in Crisis.

My research uses rationalist approaches to study international institutions and international cooperation, as well as foreign aid. I also draw on and develop spatial econometric methods. My work examines strategic interactions between foreign aid donors, coalition dynamics, and domestic sources of foreign aid allocations and government foreign policies in developing countries.
